Notes on Installing Keyless Entry (RKE), Alarms, and Remote Start

General
Allow plenty of time to intall your system. Try to plan out everything taht needs to be accomplished and how your going to do so. Keep in mind there may exist a few hours that your car will be able to start (ie, when tapping ignition wires). Be as neat as possible with your wiring and do your best to try to make it look factory. Alarms do not keep your car from being stolen, they only deter or slow down those who are trying to do so. If they can not find what wires to cut, tap, etc the longer its going to take them to steal your car, resulting in a greater chance of them getting caught, or fleeing the scene as its taking them too long.

Door Locks
Cars with factory keyless entry, the alarm systems door look inputs will need to be run to the factory keyless entry box in the trunk. Cars without keyless entry have type "C/reversing polarity/alternating " locks and will need to either use a "5 wire relay set up" or use a DEI's 451M realy module. The 451M is better as it's a quicker install and is a solid state device (will outlast the relays as there are no moving parts). The module/relay needs to be tapped into the master door lock switch which is located in the passenger side door.

Tach Wire Feed
The tach sense of your remote start can either be tapped at one of the coil pack's ground or green/yellow stripe wire that leads to the car's tach.
